Maybe this is why pornography has a bad name?
April 26, 2006 at 9:53 am | Posted in Uncategorized | 5 CommentsAlmost every day we see stories like this in the news. I saw when I looked at my home page today at dell.com. The first thing that came to my mind was this class. Throughout the semester we’ve been discussing why pornography has such a bad name, and how many believe that it leads to rape, even though there is no factual proof of this. Stories like these that are published for all to see are what give pornography a bad name. No the girl in the article wasn’t raped, but simply shown pornography and in a sense forced to “perform” for these guys.
However, I’m guessing that if you ask most of the public their opinion of why these guys did this, their answers would be something to the effect of, “they did it because they like to watch pornography.” Is this really the case? I don’t have know, but because many people would believe that this is the cause, pornography appears to be something bad, and that should be avoided.
This was a short blog, but I just wanted everyone to see this article, because I thought it was a good way to end the semester.

I feel that this is just a way for an un-happy employee to take advantage of our judicial system. In today’s lawsuit crazy society, people use loop holes, such as sexual comments made at the workplace, to get paid without working. I’ve seen this done to many times on the news and even at my workplace. Whether it’s a need to obtain money or just get time off from work, people all over are taking advantage and mocking the way our legal system works. I don’t see an end to this nor a fair conclusion to the solving of this real problem at hand.

That is exactly why I think porno has a bad name. People getting other people to perform for the others satisfaction. Whether for a few people or on a video it’s the same thing.
Getting someone to strip for money is no better than paying them to eat garbage. Mind you, half the film industry is stupid and degrading. Less mindless ‘snakes on a plane’ and more ART! Like Piano, Psycho, Star Wars or LOTR.
Can you give me any example of pornography as art? Many have tried but I don’t know what the results were.

With the exception of society’s most popular and understood definition of the word, have you ever looked up the dictionary’s version?? I just found it interesting, that’s all.
Not underestimating, just curious has to how many people know what the definition of the word is.

To the author of this blog, Amanda, I say you would make good money in porn with your tits and (especially) bubble butt as beautiful as they are. Have you ever thought of doing it? By the way, do you watch porn?
